A young woman from Brantford is making waves in the world of artistic swimming.

Brantford Collegiate Institute student Genevieve Wey became fascinated with the sport – formerly called synchronized swimming — at a very young age.

“My mom always tells me the story of when I was younger, and I would watch artistic swimming on TV and say, ‘I want to do that at the Olympics.’ I just love the art form of it.”
