Waterford Area

A Boundary Review has been completed to address school capacity pressures as a result of population growth in the Waterford area.

The schools involved in the review included: Bloomsburg Public School, Boston Public School, Delhi Public School, Teeterville Public School, Waterford Public School and Waterford District High School

A Boundary Review Special Ad Hoc Committee lead the process, which included multiple meetings and various opportunities for public input. You can find documents and meeting information here.

Their boundary change recommendations were approved by the Board of Trustees on February 27, 2023.

As of September 2023, rural Waterford Public School students in Grades K-8 residing north of Thompson Road will be redirected to Boston Public School. This impacts approximately 60 students.

As of September 2023, rural Waterford Public School students in Grades K-8 residing south of Thompson Road will be redirected to Bloomsburg Public School. This impacts approximately 55 students.

These modifications represent a total of approximately 115 students moving from Waterford Public School.

As of September 2024, all students in Grade 7 and 8 from Waterford Public School will be redirected to Waterford District High School. This impacts approximately 70 students.

Any 2022-23 Grade 6 and 7 students from Waterford Public School impacted by the boundary changes have the option to remain at Waterford Public School.
